Dr. Matthew C. Garver


Large and Small Animal Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Garver worked at the Albia Animal Clinic from 1991– 2001. Garver’s Animal Health Center first opened in January of 2002. This large and small animal clinic has a cattle facility, which houses equipment to work large animals. Dr Garver offers services at the Russell Livestock Market and the Knoxville Regional Livestock Market which are excellent locations to process your cattle. Dr. Garver has over 15 years of veterinary experience.



Dr. Lisa Gronewold

Small Animal Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Lisa Gronewold graduated from Kansas State University in May of 2001, and specializes in small animals. Dr. Gronewold is originally from Nebraska.

Dr. Andrew Nibe

Large and Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, Embryo Transfer.

Dr. Andrew Nibe is originally from Blairsburg, Iowa. Dr. Nibe graduated from Iowa State University in May of 2006. Dr. Nibe treats large and small animals. Andrew has a special interest in cattle embryo transfer service. The Albia facility is equipped for complete embryo transfer service and boarding.

Dr. Kelli Nibe is originally from Hubbard, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State University in May of 2008. Dr. Nibe treats large and small animals.

Dr. Sonya St. Peter


Large Animal Doctor

Dr. Sonya St. Peter is originally from Audubon, Iowa. Dr. St. Peter graduated from Iowa State University in May of 2006 and she is a large animal doctor.

Dr. Lisa King, D.V.M. CVA

Dr. King is originally from Breda, Iowa. She graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine  from Iowa State University in 1996. She is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and she is Certified in Animal Chiropractic. Dr. King treats Small and Large Animals.

Pet Stylist

Tiana Amos, Groomer


Tiana Amos lives in Albia, Iowa and has been working for Garver's Animal Health Center since June 2010, before that she was a groomer in Ames, Iowa. She is a proud owner of 4 Great Danes, and works with the Great Dane Rescue.  She is active in Dog Shows, and enjoys walking her Danes in local parades.  Tiana grooms in our Oskaloosa office three days a week and in Albia office two days a week. She is an excellent groomer and brings years of experience with her.  We offer several different brands of shampoo, conditioner, and pet cologne.  If we don't have something you are looking for, let her know we would be happy to order it for you.
